Mrs. Karen Tiffin

My name is Karen Tiffin and I am the fourth grade teacher at Holy Spirit Catholic School. I am happily married to my husband, Glenn for over 30 years. We have two grown children, Sean and Caroline. I have lived in Bridgeton my entire life. Prior to the growth of the St. Louis airport, I belonged to St. Mary’s Parish in Bridgeton, St. Lawrence the Martyr Parish, Bridgeton. I am now a member at Holy Spirit Parish, Maryland Heights. I am a life-long Catholic who went to grade school at St. Mary’s, attended high school at Incarnate Word Academy, and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. I have my Paul VI Catechist certification from the Archdiocese of St. Louis and am a certified Stephen’s Minister through Holy Spirit Parish. I was nominated by a former student and received the “Caring Hands Award” at Incarnate Word Academy.

I have taught various grades and subjects throughout my 20 plus year teaching career. I have always been in the Catholic school

system. The schools I have taught at include St. Elizabeth/St. Robert Regional School, St. Lawrence the Martyr, and for the past 13 years, Holy Spirit Catholic School. Teaching is my vocation, but teaching religion is my passion. I love being able to incorporate the love of Jesus into every part of the curriculum. It is a blessing to be a part of the spiritual growth of children. My goal in life is to bring Jesus to all the children I meet. I hope to instill a love for the Blessed Mother and plant the seeds of faith into our youth.
